The most important rivers in East Asia go through China. Huang He is northern China’s major river system. Huang He is yellow because it carries fine, yellow-brown soil called loess. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows through gorges, also known as canyons, and broad plains.
ReplyDeleteThe Chang Jiang has a positive effect on China because it provides water for large farming areas where they grow over half of China’s rice and other grains. The Chinese are building a dam on the Chang Jiang. The Huang He has a positive effect because it has loess which makes the soil rich, which then helps the North China Plain grow wheat. But Huang He also has a negative effect because it has flooded regularly, destroying houses and killing many people. That is why the Chinese call it “China’s sorrow.”
The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. The Huang He River (Yellow River) is northern China’s major river system. It is called yellow because of a yellow-brown soil it carries called loess. This river regularly floods and it destroys homes and many people drown. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows 3,400 miles. The Chinese are building the Three Gorges Dam on the Chang Jiang, and it will create a lake, forcing over one million people to move.
ReplyDeleteA positive way is that the fishing industries get bigger. The Huang He deposits rich soil. This soil along the river makes the North China Plain, which is a major wheat growing area. The negative parts of rivers are that they flood. The floods from the Huang He River destroy many homes and people drown in it too. The Three Gorges Dam on the Chang Jiang will create a lake, forcing over one million people to move.
The major rivers in East Asia flow through China. The Huang He, or Yellow River, is Northern China’s major river system. It is called the Yellow river because of its yellow-brown soil called loess. That blows through the desert in western China into the river. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows through gorges. Gorges are steep, sided valleys that are formed by rivers.
ReplyDeleteThe positive things about rivers are transportation and food. People can use rivers the ship goods. Rivers provide food such as fish and people use it for rice. The negative things are floods. Many people have died and crops were destroyed.

ReplyDeleteThrough China is where most of East Asia’s most important rivers flow. The Huang He is northern China’s major river system. It is the major river system, because it carries a ton of soft, yellow/brownish soil, known as loess. Throughout China’s history, however, the Huang He has flooded the land regularly. The longest river is Chang Jiang. It provides water for large farming areas where a lot of their grains grow. They are building the largest dam for this river, so it will prevent floods.
ReplyDeleteThe region’s rivers have developed rich soil for major farming areas, so it is more likely to grow. The rivers provide water for farming industries. It also plays a major role in trade routes. But, the rivers can also bring regularly flooding and destroying many homes and killing many people. Also, if they create this dam, it is said to be that the dam is to prevent floods, but when it is finished, it will form a lake and the lake will force over a million people out of their homes.
The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. China’s major river system is called “yellow” because it carries tons of loess. Loess is a yellow-brown soil that blows from deserts in Western China. Throughout China’s history, the Huang He has regularly flooded the land. These floods have killed and drowned many people and destroyed many homes. The Chang Jiang flows 3,400 miles through gorges and broad lands. Gorges are another word for a canyon. The Chang Jiang provides lots of water. This water is used for farming and growing rice and other grains. The world’s largest dam is the one the Chinese constructed. It is 607 feet high and 1.4 miles wide. This dam is expected to hold back floods and supply large amounts of hydroelectric power.
ReplyDeleteThe ways East Asia’s major rivers affect the region are in positively and negative ways. When loess is deposited, the rich soil along with the rivers water makes the North China Plain a very good wheat growing area. Besides the growing of crops, The Huang He has been regularly flooding the land. These floods have destroyed homes and killed and drowned tons of people. As a result for this sad affect, the people have nick-named this river as “China’s sorrow.” There is another river called the Chang Jiang. The Chang Jiang provides water for farming and makes a great trade route for ships that travel upriver.
1.The most important rivers flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flows eastward to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang River or “Yellow River” which is China’s major river. It is called “Yellow River” because it carries tons of fine, brown yellow soil that blows into the desert.
ReplyDeleteAnother great river in China is Chang Jiang River, which is China’s longest river. It is 3,400 miles long. It goes through gorges, or canyons and broad plains. The Chang Jiang provides water for the large farming areas where they grow rice and other grains. The Chinese is building a large dam on the Chang Jiang.
2. The positive way about the rivers are it provided water for the crops and the negative was is because of the dam it will force a million of people in their homes with vast areas of water.
The most important rivers flow though East Asia. They begin at the Plateau of Tibet. The HuangHe is northern China’s major river system. Yellow-brown soil called loess blows in from deserts in western China. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows about 3,400 miles.
ReplyDeleteThe river empties into the ocean at the port city of Shanghai. The Chang Jiang provides water for large farming areas. This river is also an important trade route. Ocean ships can travel up river and have the goods go father in. The Chinese plan to build a dam on the Chang Jiang.
It deposited rich soil so they can grow wheat, and flooding is major here because it destroys many homes.
The rivers in East Asia flow through china starting in the plateau of Tibet and flow east to the Pacific. Loess is fine, yellow-brown soil. When this is deposited in the soil it makes s a great wheat-growing area. The longest river in Asia is the Chang Jiang. This river provides water for crops. The Chang Jiang is a major trading route were ships can travel upriver. The Chinese are making the Three Gorges Dam on the Chang Jiang. This dam will be the largest dam with a width of 1.4 mile and a height of 607 ft.
ReplyDeleteEast Asia’s rivers can affect this region positively because the Chang Jiang is a major trading route. Sense the river is a major trading route it makes trading easier and faster because they can use ships. When they use ships they can trade more at a time. Some Negative thing are that when the Chinese finish building the Three Gorges Dam it is going to cause a lake to form and force a lot of flooding. So a lot of people are going to be homeless.

The Huang He is northern Chinas major river system. It carries soil called loess from the deserts. The Chang Jiange is the longest river. It is 3400 miles long flowing through gorges and plains. A the biggest dam is being built in the river for huge hydraulic power.
A positive way it helps is it gives water. Everyone needs water. It also gives hydraulic power also. Some rivers that have waterfalls can be used for attraction. A negative effect is flooding.

In China’s history, the Huang He has regularly flooded the land, leaving many houses destroyed and caused many people to drown. Because of this it is called “China’s sorrow.” China has another major river and is Asia’s biggest. It’s called the Chang Jiang. It flows through many plains and is good for farming but also a major trade route. China is building a dam on this river, which is called the Three Gorges Dam and is the world’s biggest dam. It creates a lake and is forcing over 1 million people to move from their homes.
ReplyDeleteThe major rivers positively and negatively affect the region. They affect it positively because of the many major trade routes. They can also give farmers better and more fertile land on the plains they flow by. But negatively, these rivers cause major flooding. The Huang He has flooded people out of their homes and the Chang Jiang and the Three Gorges Dam have made a lake forcing people to leave their homes as well.
